On Mysticism

  • We associate the term “meditation” and “mysticism” with the supernatural. But recent scientific studies have explored the physiological and brain functions that change in a state of meditation. How is secular based centering and meditation different from mysticism which is prominent, even the epitome of sacred? [64F/W’13]
  • One of the authors of this website began the phrase “rationale mystic” decades ago. What would this mean? Is it merely an oxymoron or a powerful hybrid?
